First, when the police finally awake, they find the driver’s gas tank scattered across the streets.
The next day, a candle came on the scene. The man, with his hands tied behind his back and his face covered in blood, was found alive but with body parts missing from his chest, belly, and legs.
By midnight, three police officers had found the car involved in a hit-and-run, but each time they approached the scene, the vehicle’s windows shattered like something left overnight, and the man’s wallet lay on the floor.
Nine hours later, the driver was removed from the scene. The man stood outside the police station, looking as though he’d been here all morning, with no idea why he had gotten away with such a thing.
Despite the violent encounter, the officers were quickly brought to face the man and confront him directly. When they arrived, they found him lying on the street, his face covered in blood, and his hands tied behind his back, looking as though nothing had happened at all.
The officers then made their way inside the station, where a soldier was waiting for them. The soldier’s expression gave off a mixture of anger and determination that was hard to distinguish from the man’s.
The soldier quickly took the man into custody. He was given a sentence for three years, and he was turned in to prison as a result. When he finally left, his face was covered in blood, but he said nothing other than “I’ll be here” when the officers finally got to him.
