Edge Men Select Poetry

I am holding my destiny in my hands,

I believe in the stars and the sky!

Looking at pancakes makes me gag!

Over two months ago, I fed my starving stomach with them.

Factory ceiling to my heart!

Making it mine through hard work and dedication!

But wait, I have that drive, that passion, that unshakable conviction in me:

It is time to prove if I am a businessperson or not.

But women always ask: 'Are you married to your home?''

Possible or impossible, but will their hearts ever tell me the truth?

Still, I believe that my name stands among great names as I attempt my journey. But I doubt it, because some people may say no.

I live in a town, but I also live in a village and a city.

Suddenly, I find myself thinking about the long road ahead of me:

When time slows down, will I remain someone I once hated? Or will I become someone I never knew?

Nor matter what happens, my name will not live in my home. My name will be a thing I see on street signs and bus schedules!

I write, "I am a citizen of China," but when will the government know this truth? When I graduate from college, when I move into a job, when I become an adult?
